HR specialist

Job Summary

 Support a wide range of human resources functions, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, recruitment support, employee engagement, compliance, reporting, and HR operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR processes while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, bilingual, and experienced in HR administration, benefits, and employee support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support daily HR operations and administrative functions across the department. 
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and insurance reconciliations. 
  • Process and maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation. 
  • Assist with recruitment activities, onboarding, and new hire processing. 
  • Verify employment eligibility documentation, including I-9s, E-Verify, and compliance requirements. 
  • Generate, maintain, and analyze HR reports and workforce data. 
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events. 
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and benefits invoicing. 
  • Support audits, SOX reviews, and HR compliance initiatives. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures. 
  • Maintain and update HR systems and employee databases. 
  • Provide administrative support to HR leadership and cross-functional HR projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience. 
  • Experience with employee benefits administration, onboarding, and HR operations. 
  • Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, I-9, E-Verify, and employee recordkeeping. 
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
