VP Premier Banking Relationship Manager

The VP, Premier Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients by delivering comprehensive, customized banking, lending, and wealth solutions. This role serves as a trusted financial advisor, providing strategic financial planning and high-touch service to drive deposit growth, deepen client relationships, and position the institution as a primary financial partner for premier clients. The position requires a consultative professional with strong business development capabilities, community presence, and a commitment to exceptional client experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of affluent and high-net-worth clients, delivering tailored banking, credit, and wealth solutions.
     
  • Proactively identify and pursue new client acquisition opportunities through networking, referrals, and professional relationships.
     
  • Conduct comprehensive financial reviews to understand client objectives and recommend appropriate deposit, lending, and investment strategies.
     
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on wealth planning, credit structuring, and financial solutions.
     
  • Build and maintain a strong referral network with attorneys, CPAs, estate planners, and other centers of influence.
     
  • Partner with internal teams, including branch leadership and lending partners, to identify cross-sell and relationship expansion opportunities.
     
  • Perform ongoing relationship reviews to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and portfolio growth.
     
  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience aligned with service standards and brand expectations.
     
  • Represent the organization through active participation in networking events and professional organizations.
     
  • Ensure all client activities and transactions comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk standards.
     
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, referrals, and business development activity.
     
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and financial strategies impacting client portfolios.
     
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
     
  • Minimum of three (3) years of banking experience and three (3) years of customer service experience
     
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking, credit solutions, investment offerings, and cash management services
     
  • Proven experience in relationship management, private banking, wealth management, or financial advisory roles
     
  • Demonstrated success in business development, networking, and referral generation
     
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
     
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and confidently
     
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
     
  • Professional presence with the ability to manage high-touch client relationships
     
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
     
  • Master’s degree, wealth management certification, or financial planning designation preferred
     
  • Five (5)+ years of banking and customer service experience preferred
