Loan Officer Assistant

Job Summary

The Loan Officer Assistant supports loan officers throughout the loan origination and processing cycle by ensuring loan documentation is accurate, complete, and timely. This role works closely with loan officers, borrowers, and third-party partners to help move loans efficiently from application through closing while delivering a high level of customer service. This position is fully on-site and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist loan officers with preparing loan packages by gathering and verifying borrower financial documentation.
Order and track credit reports, appraisals, title commitments, and other loan-related documents.
Monitor loan files, track status updates, and follow up on missing or incomplete information.
Coordinate with borrowers, real estate professionals, and settlement agents to support timely loan closings.
Answer incoming phone calls and emails, respond to customer inquiries, and route issues as needed.
Maintain accurate loan records and ensure compliance with internal lending procedures.
Perform administrative tasks including filing, reporting, and document management as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in loan operations, mortgage lending, or a related financial services role.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with high attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site office environment.
Familiarity with loan origination systems and lending procedures is a plus.
