Universal Banker

Job Summary

This position is in the Florida Keys

 The Universal Banker is a full-time, on-site position responsible for providing seamless support across both teller and platform functions within the banking center. This role is essential in delivering high-quality service, managing financial transactions, opening new accounts, and identifying client needs to recommend banking solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform teller duties including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and handling of currency and coin.
  • Open and maintain personal deposit accounts such as checking, savings, money markets, CDs, and IRAs.
  • Engage clients through consultative conversations to recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Refer clients to internal partners for lending, investment, or business banking needs.
  • Place outbound calls to clients and prospects to support business development and promotional campaigns.
  • Assist with personal loan applications and facilitate smooth hand-offs to lending specialists.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Support daily branch operations, audit controls, and help train new team members.
  • Stay current on product updates, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Adhere strictly to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and internal risk controls.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; minimum 1 year of teller or banking experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with 10-key calculator and coin counter.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced branch environment.
