The Universal Banker serves as a single point of contact for customers, offering a comprehensive range of financial services. This hybrid role emphasizes building relationships, meeting sales and service goals, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities encompass handling financial transactions, providing support and guidance, promoting bank products, and ensuring compliance with banking policies.
• Provide a welcoming, professional, and engaging experience for all customers.
• Utilize open-ended questions to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
• Open and manage accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and business accounts, ensuring accurate and compliant account documentation.
• Educate customers on digital banking solutions, promoting self-service options when appropriate.
• Execute a wide range of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and issuing negotiable instruments.
• Balance and reconcile cash drawers with accuracy and efficiency, and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Replenish ATMs, maintain vault cash, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Process Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and other compliance-related documentation as required.
• Proactively identify and act on sales opportunities to deepen relationships, cross-sell banking products, and generate referrals for specialized services, such as lending or wealth management.
• Stay informed about banking products and services, and meet or exceed sales and referral targets set by branch management.
• Conduct outbound sales calls to follow up on leads and expand customer relationships.
