Corporate Banking Relationship Manager IV

Job Summary

The Corporate Banking Relationship Manager IV is responsible for managing a portfolio of complex, high-value corporate clients. This role focuses on deepening client relationships, increasing share of wallet, and cross-selling a broad range of bank products and services. The Relationship Manager will be instrumental in growing bank revenues through strategic business development and consultative relationship management. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish to serve a diverse clientele effectively.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of sophisticated corporate relationships, ensuring high service levels and revenue growth.
  • Maintain active client contact, conducting quarterly in-person meetings and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Promote the bank’s full suite of services, including loans, deposits, treasury, and trade finance products.
  • Actively participate in networking events and community involvement to enhance the bank’s visibility and generate business.
  • Structure, analyze, and manage complex credit relationships, including ABL, EX-IM, insured receivables, and owner-occupied real estate loans.
  • Prepare credit packages for approval, present to senior management and loan committees, and communicate decisions to clients.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, review covenant compliance, and maintain current credit files and contact memos.
  • Authorize overdrafts and uncollected funds using sound credit judgment.
  • Ensure compliance with BSA/AML, OFAC, USA Patriot Act, and internal credit policies.
  • Review client deposit activity and escalate any red flags.
  • Identify and mitigate risks by escalating issues to the Risk Management Committee as needed.
  • Support the bank’s CRA efforts and serve on nonprofit boards as a community engagement initiative.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial lending experience managing complex, high-volume relationships.
  • Proven expertise in asset-based lending and trade finance is required.
  • Documented success in business development and client relationship expansion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint (Advanced), Project (Intermediate), and Visio (Basic).
  • Solid understanding of banking regulations, cash flow analysis, and credit structuring.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Ability to communicate complex financial solutions clearly in both languages.
