Cash management sales officer

Job Summary

 This role is responsible for analyzing client needs, recommending tailored banking solutions, driving deposit growth, and generating fee income through the sale of treasury management products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong business development skills, commercial banking knowledge, and the ability to build long-term client relationships while collaborating with internal banking teams to deliver exceptional customer service and operational support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and maintain commercial and corporate client relationships focused on treasury management and cash management solutions.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Commercial Bankers to achieve deposit growth and service charge income goals.
  • Analyze business client financial statements and operational needs to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
  • Promote and cross-sell treasury management solutions including ACH, wires, lockbox, remote deposit capture, and other cash management products.
  • Conduct client and prospect meetings to identify opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Participate in onboarding new clients and coordinate implementation efforts with operations and technology teams.
  • Negotiate pricing structures to maximize profitability while remaining competitive within the market.
  • Support customer retention efforts by delivering a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Assist in developing and executing deposit growth and treasury management sales strategies.
  • Lead or coordinate internal working groups related to treasury management implementations and service enhancements.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.
  • Maintain compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in officer calling programs, networking activities, and business development initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and support to assigned analysts or portfolio management staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial banking, treasury management, cash management sales, or related financial services roles required.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury management products, commercial banking services, and deposit solutions preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and perform profitability analysis.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead projects or working groups when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel locally for client and prospect visits.
