Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Partner directly with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking standards
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including general ledger reconciliations
Assist in the development, enhancement, and automation of budgeting and reporting processes
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across accounting and finance functions
Generate internal financial reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to gather financial data and support initiatives
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance-related activities

Minimum Requirements:

3–7 years of accounting experience within banking or financial services
Strong knowledge of bank accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger functions
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Community bank experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with accounting systems and strong overall technical skills; Jack Henry experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work closely with executive leadership and communicate financial insights effectively
Self-starter with a proactive mindset and desire to improve processes
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Interest in long-term career growth within a banking environment
