Controller

Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning processes
Ensure compliance with U.S. banking regulations (e.g., FRB, FATCA)
Coordinate internal and external audits; manage relationships with auditors and regulators
Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures
Deliver data-driven financial analysis to support executive decision-making
Supervise and mentor a small finance and accounting team
Participate directly in daily accounting and financial tasks when needed

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred)
7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong preference for U.S. banking or financial services background
Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to lead in a hands-on, detail-oriented environment
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and banking operations
High standards of accuracy, ethics, and confidentiality
