Business Development Manager

Job Summary

  This position is in the Florida Keys


This role is responsible for generating new business, strengthening existing client relationships, and increasing deposit and lending growth through proactive outreach, referral partnerships, and community involvement.


The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused professional who thrives in a sales-driven environment and enjoys connecting with local business owners and community leaders. This individual will play a key role in advancing the bank’s market presence by identifying new opportunities, collaborating with internal lending teams, and representing the bank at local networking and civic events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive loan and deposit growth.
  • Identify and cultivate new commercial, consumer, and deposit relationships within the local market.
  • Build and maintain referral partnerships with business owners, real estate professionals, and community organizations.
  • Conduct proactive calling efforts and in-person meetings to expand the bank’s client base.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients by identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Partner with internal lenders and product specialists to structure and close new banking relationships.
  • Represent the bank at community, networking, and civic events to increase brand visibility and market presence.
  • Track sales activities, pipeline updates, and client interactions within CRM systems.
  • Analyze local market trends and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing client support and maintain communication after new relationships are established.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or business development.
  • Experience developing commercial banking or business relationships preferred.
  • Strong sales, networking, and relationship-management skills.
  • Knowledge of banking products including commercial loans, deposits, and treasury services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
