Ops Insurance Analyst

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Review and analyze insurance, escrow, and tax reports to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and operational issues.
Perform daily and monthly commercial insurance renewals for escrow and non-escrow accounts, including hazard, flood, general liability, and master policy insurance.
Request policy renewals from customers and insurance agents while updating loan account records accordingly.
Review insurance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and established coverage standards.
Maintain and update HOA insurance policies and tax addendums within servicing systems.
Assist with property tax payment processes, loan portfolio reconciliations, and correction of loan addenda and payment discrepancies.
Provide support to loan servicing and mortgage insurance inquiries related to insurance and tax matters.
Maintain compliance with SOX, audit standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements including FEMA flood insurance regulations.
Assist with documenting audit corrections, maintaining procedural manuals, and supporting departmental process improvements.
Participate in departmental projects and cross-functional operational initiatives as assigned.
Support workload monitoring, capacity planning analysis, and root cause analysis related to operational issues and process improvements.
Serve as backup support for other operational functions including GL balancing and loan servicing operational tasks.
Prepare operational reports, executive presentations, and management reporting as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance operations, loan servicing, escrow administration, tax operations, or a related banking operations role required.
Strong understanding of commercial and residential insurance compliance requirements including flood insurance regulations preferred.
Experience reviewing insurance policies, escrow accounts, tax reconciliations, and loan servicing records preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint required.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Strong understanding of operational controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance standards preferred.
