Job Summary

The HOA Relationship Manager is responsible for developing, originating, underwriting, and managing lending relationships with condominium associations, homeowners' associations (HOAs), property management companies, and related community association clients. This role focuses on providing financing solutions for capital improvements, reserve funding, insurance assessments, deferred maintenance, emergency repairs, and operating lines of credit. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial lending and credit analysis experience, established business development capabilities, and an understanding of condominium and HOA financial structures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and originate new lending relationships with condominium associations, HOAs, and property management companies, with a focus on the South Florida market.
Establish referral networks with property management companies, association attorneys, engineers, reserve specialists, and other industry professionals.
Generate new business through direct calling, networking, industry events, and professional associations.
Present financing solutions to association boards and property management companies.
Analyze association financial statements, operating budgets, reserve studies, delinquency reports, insurance coverage, and governing documents.
Structure and originate financing for capital improvements, roof replacements, structural repairs, reserve funding, insurance premiums, special assessments, and operating lines of credit.
Prepare credit memoranda, evaluate repayment sources, and present lending recommendations to loan committees.
Manage existing loan portfolios, conduct annual relationship reviews, monitor covenant compliance, and identify potential credit risks.
Serve as the primary relationship contact for association boards, property managers, attorneys, and other professional advisors.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell treasury management, deposit accounts, reserve accounts, lockbox services, and other banking products.
Coordinate with legal counsel and loan operations to facilitate loan documentation and closings.
Ensure compliance with bank lending policies, credit procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Achieve annual production goals of approximately $15 million in loan originations and $5 million in deposit growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial lending, association lending, real estate lending, or specialty finance.
Demonstrated experience in commercial loan underwriting, credit analysis, and financial statement analysis.
Familiarity with condominium and HOA governance structures, association financial statements, budgets, reserve studies, and assessment structures preferred.
Experience working with property management companies and community association professionals is a plus.
Strong understanding of commercial loan structuring, documentation, and closing processes.
Proven business development, networking, and relationship management abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, loan origination systems, and financial spreading software.
Formal commercial credit training preferred.
