This individual will be responsible for opening and servicing accounts, identifying client needs, recommending appropriate banking products, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch.

The ideal candidate is a polished banking professional who combines strong customer service with sales and relationship-building skills. This person should be comfortable working with deposit accounts, assisting with lending-related transactions, resolving client issues, and identifying opportunities to deepen banking relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with consumer and business banking clients.
Open, maintain, and close checking, savings, money market, certificate of deposit, and other deposit accounts.
Assist clients in selecting banking products and services based on their individual financial needs.
Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through additional deposit, lending, and banking products.
Provide a high level of personalized and professional customer service.
Gather and verify required documentation for new accounts and ensure proper customer identification.
Assist customers with credit applications and lending-related requests.
Process consumer, commercial, and real estate loan payments and advances as appropriate.
Assist customers with online and electronic banking services.
Process debit card requests, wire transfer requests, stop payments, account changes, and other routine banking transactions.
Resolve account questions, transaction discrepancies, and other customer concerns.
Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
Follow all account-opening, KYC/CIP, BSA/AML, and applicable banking compliance requirements.
Support branch operational activities and provide coverage in other areas of the branch when necessary.
Partner with branch leadership and other banking teams to ensure client needs are handled efficiently.
Participate in branch sales and service initiatives.
Develop referral opportunities and help bring additional relationships into the Bank.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Prior retail banking experience required.
Experience as a Personal Banker, Relationship Banker, Universal Banker, Customer Service Representative/New Accounts Representative, or similar branch banking professional preferred.
Experience opening and servicing consumer and business deposit accounts.
Strong understanding of checking, savings, CDs, debit cards, online banking, and other retail banking products.
Previous sales, cross-selling, or relationship-development experience within a bank.
Experience assisting customers with lending products or loan-related transactions preferred.
Knowledge of branch banking operations and regulatory requirements.
Strong understanding of customer identification, account documentation, and banking compliance procedures.
Excellent customer service and relationship-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and polished client-facing presence.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities.
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team-oriented branch environment.
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and banking experience preferred. The original position specifically calls for a financial-institution operations, sales, or customer-service background.
