Loan Operations Analyst - Escrow

Job Summary

support the Bank's loan servicing and escrow operations. This position will be responsible for loan insurance processing, escrow analysis, property tax administration, GL reconciliations, and researching and resolving account discrepancies.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in loan servicing, escrow administration, insurance processing, and loan-related accounting/reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate loan records are essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain insurance information on loan accounts. 
  • Review insurance policies and related documentation to ensure loan records are accurate and current. 
  • Perform escrow analysis and maintain accurate escrow account information. 
  • Review escrow balances, payments, disbursements, and account activity. 
  • Handle property tax administration for applicable loan accounts. 
  • Monitor property tax payments and research issues or discrepancies. 
  • Reconcile loan-related general ledger (GL) accounts. 
  • Research and resolve discrepancies involving loan accounts, escrow, insurance, taxes, payments, and GL activity. 
  • Review loan servicing records and system information for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized loan and escrow records. 
  • Research account activity and make corrections or adjustments as appropriate. 
  • Communicate with internal departments, borrowers, insurance companies, taxing authorities, and other parties as needed to resolve issues. 
  • Follow established Bank policies, procedures, and internal controls. 
  • Ensure loan servicing and escrow activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Assist with audits, quality control reviews, and other departmental reporting as needed. 
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of banking, loan servicing, loan operations, escrow, or related financial services experience preferred. 
  • Hands-on experience with loan insurance processing required. 
  • Experience performing escrow analysis required. 
  • Experience with property tax administration required. 
  • Experience reconciling loan-related GL accounts required. 
  • Experience researching and resolving account or transaction discrepancies. 
  • Strong understanding of loan servicing and escrow processes. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to analyze account activity and identify errors or inconsistencies. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Experience with loan servicing systems and/or core banking systems preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
