Corporate Banker

Job Summary

They're able to prepare lending agreements with clients and often ensure that they keep files and corporate records available and organized. Corporate bankers use planning and problem-solving skills in their work to train junior staff members, write detailed reports and manage projects on the bank's behalf. Corporate bankers may also travel and have schedules that differ from traditional work hours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deals with large multi-billion-dollar companies  
  • Syndicated loans  
  • Local Florida multi bank deals  
  • Deals with large companies in portfolio  
  • Wall Street experience type of profile 
  • Corporate Banking team normally looking for deals from 50-100 mm (no ceiling) 
  • Must also be willing to bring in Deposits 
  • C&I Focused  
  • Must have strong ties in the community and know their market 
  • Semi Annual Incentives 
  • Preparing lending agreements.
  • Ensuring that files and corporate records are organized.
  • Advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, shares, and other financial activities.
  • Outlining the impact of products such as treasury services, loans, and credit.
  • Corporate bankers offer loans and credit products to their business customers. Credit forms some of the largest amounts of profits commercial banks own, making credit dealings very important to a corporate banker. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate banking or a related financial services field, with expertise in lending, credit analysis, and structuring large corporate deals.
  • Experience working with large, multi-billion-dollar companies, syndicated loans, and local multi-bank deals.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending products and services.
  • Proven experience in handling corporate portfolios, with a focus on high-value loans (typically in the $50M-$100M range).
  • Prior experience in advising clients on complex financial matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and treasury services.
  • Expertise in preparing and structuring lending agreements for corporate clients.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, and loan underwriting processes.
  • Ability to manage large and complex corporate banking relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and solutions.
  • Experience with syndicated lending and multi-bank deal structures.
  • Familiarity with local market trends and opportunities within the Florida region.
