Loan Servicing Manager

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for carrying out the daily functions of a loan operations department. This position is also responsible for overall loan operations management and oversight of the mortgage, consumer and commercial loans support staff. This includes document preparation, processing, and servicing, accounting and reporting functions, and customer service. Leads, trains, and supervises the loan technicians; designs and administers systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing. Communicates with bank department managers to promote efficient and correct work flow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Handles the entire loan operations department by verifying and processing personal business loans, participating in underwritings procedures for personal loans and performs escrow and collection procedures. Develops and maintains work flows for all stages of document preparation, closing and file documentation and collateral management.
Ensures the proper services are received by the clients by executing policies and procedure that are specific and proficient to the goals of the company and the customer’s satisfaction with the organization’s products and services.
Works closely with loan production officers and bank department managers to promote communication, and to ensure quality service delivery throughout the bank, as well as with external customers. Chair periodic loan operations meetings to discuss improvements and resolve issues.
Directs loan input (system boarding) and verification procedures for all loans.
Analyzes specific methods to assure regulatory fulfillment is in place.
Assists clients with their financial prospects.
Acquires business relationships with cooperative and potential clients and business partners.
Supervises loan document preparation to ensure all loans are being processed in a timely and proper manner. Verifies that all loans are processed in accordance with established regulations, bank policies, and secondary market processing guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of five years banking experience in the loan department to ensure through knowledge of loan operations in production, servicing, and accounting.

Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from a four- year college or university in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in loan operations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
